Ways to Support Your Local Fire Department

You can support your local fire department in the following ways:

  1. Join and participate as a member.
  2. Donate to the Macedon Fire Department or Benevolent Association
  3. Promote your local fire department and its services
  4. Participate in thier fundraising events as a volunteer

If you wish to do any of the above for Macedon, please follow the steps to the right to join, or contact us regarding your ability to volunteer with our events.

Fundraising events that we currently have are the annual fund drive and pancake breakasts.  The Pancake Breakfasts run every third Sunday morning of the month from September through April.  They start promptly at 7:30 AM and run until 12:00 Noon.

As of recent we have been working out changes to our fund drive.  They typically run near the end of the year just prior to tax time.  To place a donation to either the Fire Department or Benevolent Association, please donate through PayPal here, or mail a check or money order to the following address.

Join

You can Join the Macedon Fire Department by following these steps.

  1. Download our application
  2. Complete the application
  3. Come to one of our training nights (Tuesday Evenings, 7:00 PM, except for holidays).
  4. Turn in your application and donation.

After your application is in, our applicant review committee will arrange an interview with you.  They will inform the membership of your intent to apply and make a motion in one of our public meetings (3rd Monday of the Month) to permit you to join. When our membership approves, your application will be forwarded to the Village of Macedon Board of Trustees.  Typically it is approved within 2 weeks after department approval, but can be upwards of 4 weeks if arson reports take long.  (Average Application to join takes 2 months)

Once approved by the Village Board one of the committee members or line officers will contact you to get you in the door.  If you are unable to make the training night or monday meeting to interact and share your interest in joining, you can apply electronically in this short form and someone will help you through the process.

Donations

The Macedon Fire Department can always use donations both of funds and in-kind for events and services, regardless membership in the department.  Contact us for information on how, and to determine if your gift is appropriate for our department.
